More Joys of Womanhood

as i read veniceit's thread, i remembered what happened to me a few years ago.

i worked for lucent tech in wichita, kansas.

i reported to a young man (about 22) who had just gotten out of college and just got married.

LOL! That's great, wish I could have seen his face, he deserved it.
A friend of mine told me once that if you want to call in sick to work and don't want to be harrassed about it, just tell them you're suffering from bad diarrhea. They usually don't want to know anything more after that.

My first Mothers Day

i've been a mom for 21 years now and am going to celebrate my first mother's day.

my oldest son is taking me out for lunch on sunday.. happy mother's day to all moms on this board.

The kids love doing something for mom or dad and I love saving every little drawing, craft and soap dish they make.
I always feel so awkward not doing anything for my own mom on Mother's day though. You know, it's so weird to call her up and say, "well, if you could celebrate holidays, I'd wish you a happy mother's day mom because I love you" and she says "oh, we don't need a special day to know our kids love us". Which is true, but still.

Have a nice mother's day everyone.

That was in front of the Hockey Hall of Fame. I think he made a new friend, LOL.

Everyone was so nice and easy to talk to and I'm glad the pictures show how much fun it was for all of us.

I think Harmony should have an apostofest in Minneapolis sometime, sounds like a fun place.

I want to let you all know that my husband Joel took most of the video that I captured the photos from to share with you all. I hope you liked them. The outdoor ones at night were a bit too dark, but hopefully Zev's turned out ok with the flash.
